The Tidal Wave eBike is a step-through frame beach cruiser available in nice array of color options. The step-through frame allows for easier mounting and dismounting, and maybe of use to those riders taking advantage of the electric motor to ease physical disabilities while biking. As such, the Tidal Wave may be the model that is perfect for you. It comes equipped with our standard cross-functional tires, and its motor is a 48V, 750W model featuring a 48V, 12Ah Samsung cell battery which won’t experience memory problems or need to be fully discharged before recharging. (You also don’t have to charge the battery completely when recharging if you don’t have time.) Top speed has been tested to 25 miles per hour, while the maximum range on full electric mode, depending on the weight of the rider, is about 26 miles. The Tidal Wave is a six-speed model for faster travel over longer distances and easier pedaling uphill. The seat has under-springs and a quick release height adjustment. The handlebars are painted alloy, the fork is steel, and the standard beach cruiser tires are 26” x 2.10” beach cruiser rims with metallic spokes. We recommend the standard tires be inflated to 32 PSI (the valve is a 48mm model). The Tidal Wave eBike model weighs approximately 50 lbs (22.7 Kg) without the battery, or 60 lbs with the battery. When your product ships to you, you will receive your new Wave eBike partially assembled, so professional assembly is required.

Easy Step-Thru Design!

The Tidal Wave’s throttle is a 3-Level cadence sensor with pedal assist. You can pedal manually, use the assist, or ride on full electric. The maximum recommended weight limit for riders is 270 pounds. As for rider size, while we don’t stipulate absolute minimums or maximums, the seat adjusts to allow for riders between 4’10” and 6’2″. The seat extends 8 inches, which puts the seat 41 inches above the ground. The minimum seat height is 33 inches from the ground.

Check your local laws for helmet regulations and other safety requirements. We strongly recommend that you wear a helmet when riding the Wave eBike. We do need to stress, however, that the Wave eBike is not a toy. No person under 18 years of age should operate an electric bicycle. Operating an electric bicycle carries an implicit risk of death or injury, particularly if the operator fails to abide by all relevant safety precautions. We disclaim all liability arising from the risks assumed by operating the eBike. The Wave eBike has moving parts and electrical components that may present hazards to children, and these may not be obvious to children the way they are to you. Before using it for the first time, and periodically during your ongoing use of our product, inspect the eBike for worn or damaged parts, loose components, or other signs of wear. If you do find a problem, contact customer service. While using your eBike, do not wear loose or flowing clothing, jewelry, or other items that could get tangled in the bicycle’s moving parts, including the wheels, spokes, and drive chain. Make sure you don’t exceed the maximum rated weight of the eBike when riding.

4 out of 5 Absolutely in love with the Tidal Wave!

I just got my white Tidal Wave and it’s the best gift I’ve ever bought for myself in a while. It’s more than I expected in a lot of ways, but the one downside is that it does not have a suspension like my mountain bike does, so riding it over bumps and dips isn’t as smooth, which is why I am only giving it 4 stars. Add a suspension and its a 5-star bike all the way! I have no tested out the full range on it so far, but Ive gotten over 30 miles with using the pedal assist mode and still have about a quarter left on the battery, so I’m guessing it will easily do over 40 miles, which is more than plenty for my type of riding.

Why has the price gone up? I was considering this but not now. I will not pay 1400 for a bike.

We have made continuous improvements with all of our bikes, along with increased shipping costs from the major carriers both domestically and internationally, we still offer the most affordable electric bikes on the market for the performance and specs.

5 out of 5 An truly perfect Step-thru eBike

I can’t say enough how much I truly enjoy my new Tidal Wave. It has really been one of the best purchases I have made in a really long time. My husband has been trying to get me to go on bike rides with him for years and now Im the one dragging him out of the house. My friend bought a Wave last year, but I didnt like having to swing my leg over the top to get on, so when they introduced this step-thru model I immediately jumped at the opportunity to get one for myself. Its soooo easy to get on and off and it has the exact same power as the regular Wave (more than I need quite frankly) but I think that extra bit of power helps going up hills.

The seat takes a little fidgeting to get it in the right position (you will need a wrench to loosen, adjust, and then tighten to the right angle), the display doesnt show my speed or distance and only shows battery life left and a button to turn it on/off, so I wish it had those features, but overall I am quite pleased with my Tidal Wave!

5 out of 5 In Love!

I love love love my new Tidal Wave! I have been following this site for some time now waiting for them to get more inventory because I really wnted a step-thru ebike which has been hard to find for under $1,800. My husband purchased a Wave 2.0 when it first came out and I was able to ride it a few times and it was great, but really wanted a step thru model. It’s pretty much the same as the Wave 2.0 but with a step thru frame, so it just makes it easier to get on and off the bike for me, especially when I’m wearing a dress, etc. I actually prefer the look a little more of the Tidal Wave vs. Wave 2.0, but that’s probably because I’ve ridden step thru frame my whole life.

I really like being able to turn off the motor and just ride it like a normal bike to get exercise, then switch on the motor and use pedal assist for less of a workout, and then when I’m feeling really lazy usually only the way home, I’ll just use the throttle without pedaling. It really makes riding a bike fun again.
