5 out of 5 The perfect addition to my life right now!

I haven’t ridden a bike in years, but a friend mentioned this new concept of electric bikes, so I started checking them out. After researching for several weeks, I found the Folding Wave online and decided to take a chance and make the big purchase. I didn’t really know too much about folding bikes, but after thinking about the practical aspects, it really made a lot of sense for me. I don’t live in a huge home, so being able to fold it up and store it without taking up a lot of space is great. The best use of the folding aspect is being able to throw it in the trunk of my Chevy Malibu whenevr I feel like riding new places, but most of the time I just leave it in the trunk so I can be spontaneous and ride new places that I think might be fun.

It’s really easy to setup (literally take it out of the box and unfold ). Turn the key, press the on button, and hit the throttle. I like to use pedal assist mode so I feel like Im actually getting some exercise, but its really nice being able to use just the throttle when I’m tired and not have to pedal at all.

4 out of 5 A Nice Mix of Good Qualities, All in One

When I was looking for a electric bike, I never really thought I would get a folding bike, just because it never really crossed my mind probably because I don’t see them very often where I live. After thinking about it more, it made a lot more practical sense to buy the Folding Wave vs. the Wave 2.0 just because I don’t have a lot of space and I also like to take road trips and thought it would be great to bring along with me in the car.

After owning the Folding Wave for 2 months now, I couldn’t be happier. The only thing I would want more is for it to go faster. 20 MPH is great probably for most people, but I’ve always been a speed demon, so I guess my standards are a bit higher when it comes to this, hence the 4 stars and not 5.

Aside from that, everything else is amazing. The power is great uphills, the pedal assist feature is awesome in addition to the full thumb throttle without even having to pedal, the brakes are just like a normal bike, and of course, the folding feature is the coolest part! I can literally fold it or unfold it in less than a minute. I would be surprised if anyone had a hard time with the folding aspect because they made it really, really easy to do. Once it’s folded up, it fits practically anywhere. I threw it in the back of my friend’s Prius without any problem. You could probably fit two of these things in most trunks. I usually store mine in my front closet it’s that compact. The nice thing is that when I unfold it, that it’s not some tiny circus looking bike. It actually has a nice seat height and posture while riding.

    Question

What are the dimensions of the Folded Wave? Also, how much does it weigh? I have a small airplane that I’d like to be able to fit her into.

Here are the dimensions: Unfolded: 62”x42”x25” (65,100 sq in) Folded: 36”x28”x18” (18,144 sq in)

It weighs 50 lbs with the battery. For general reference, you should be able to fit it in the back seat of a Cessna 172. Let us know if you have any other questions!

5 out of 5 The Perfect Folding eBike...seriously

The Folding Wave is exactly what I expected…and more. It literally takes me about 45 seconds to completely fold or unfold it and it actually fits in my 2008 Honda Accord truck without any problem, and actually a lot of spare room. I think I could fit two of these things in my trunk it folds up so nicely. I was debating between the Wave 2.0 and the Folding Wave and finally pulled the trigger on the Folding Wave just because I thought about practicality since I live in an apartment and don’t have much space and also like the fact that I can easily bring it with me in my car anywhere. I have had a fixie for a while but never bought a car rack because it just seems like a pain to mount and drive a bike around, but being able to throw the Folding Wave into the back of my trunk in a matter of a minute makes it fun to just leave it in my trunk and if I see a cool spot I’ll just pull it out and ride around.

Besides the obvious space saving factor, this thing has decent power and is a lot more comfortable than I thought. It has a cushy seat and the seat height adjusts really quick with a nice quick release latch and the shocks make it pretty smooth over most bumps and junky roads around town. I haven’t really tested to see how steep of a hill it can go up, but it hasn’t had any problem going up average size hills in my neighborhood. I would recommend the Folding Wave to anyone looking for an eBike and want to bring it with you in the car and/or need to save space at home by storing it in a closet, small space, etc.
