Wave 2.0 Description

The Wave eBike is a beach cruiser available in white, black, and blue colors. Our Wave 2.0 cruiser model offers cross-functional tires. Its motor is a 48V, 750W model featuring a 48V, 10Ah battery with Samsung cells that won’t experience memory problems or need to be fully discharged before recharging. (You also don’t have to charge the battery completely when recharging if you don’t have time.) Top speed has been tested to 25 miles per hour, while the maximum range on full electric mode, depending on the weight of the rider, is about 23 miles. The Wave comes equipped with 6-speed Shimano rear gears for faster travel over longer distances. The seat has under-springs and a quick release height adjustment, and the whole unit has a 90-day warranty against manufacturer’s defects and “non-human” damage. The frame is aluminum and the tires are 26” x 2.10” cruiser rims with metallic spokes. We recommend the standard tires be inflated to 32 PSI (the valve is a 48mm model). The Wave eBike 2.0 model weighs approximately 50 lbs (22.7 Kg) without the battery.

Using the Wave 2.0, you could use pedal assist, which will boost you to a full 30 MPH if you’re really flying along, or you could choose to go full electric and cruise up to 25 MPH. You can also pedal manually without the motor, of course. The throttle is a 3-Level cadence sensor with pedal assist, which means you can use the throttle by itself, or pedal and have automatic assistance from the motor at three different power assistance levels. The maximum recommended weight limit for riders is 300 pounds. As for rider size, while we don’t stipulate absolute minimums or maximums, the seat adjusts to allow for riders between 4’11” and 6’7″. The seat extends 8 inches, which puts the seat 41 inches above the ground. The minimum seat height is 33 inches from the ground.

When your product ships to you, you will receive your new Wave eBike partially assembled, so professional assembly is required. The shipping container would be much larger (think of the handlebars and pedals in place) if the bicycle were shipped completely assembled, so we break it down a little bit in order to make the package smaller and make shipping less costly for you. This is done as a cost-saving measure for the freight of transporting the shipping box. We pass these savings on to you.

Check your local laws for helmet regulations and other safety requirements. We strongly recommend that you wear a helmet when riding the Wave eBike. We do need to stress, however, that the Wave eBike is not a toy. No person under 18 years of age should operate an electric bicycle. Operating an electric bicycle carries an implicit risk of death or injury, particularly if the operator fails to abide by all relevant safety precautions. We disclaim all liability arising from the risks assumed by operating the eBike. The Wave eBike has moving parts and electrical components that may present hazards to children, and these may not be obvious to children the way they are to you. Before using it for the first time, and periodically during your ongoing use of our product, inspect the eBike for worn or damaged parts, loose components, or other signs of wear. If you do find a problem, contact customer service. While using your eBike, do not wear loose or flowing clothing, jewelry, or other items that could get tangled in the bicycle’s moving parts, including the wheels, spokes, and drive chain. Make sure you don’t exceed the maximum rated weight of the eBike when riding.

Color Descriptions

Pearl White: This color has been popular among luxury cars and SUVs for quite some time now, but now it’s on an bicycle and it looks amazing. Pearl white has light properties similar to that of an actual pearl such that it shimmers in certain areas of the bike based on the angle of the light.

Satin Black: The perfect blend between standard gloss (shiny) black and matte black. It is right between these two colors in terms of shine and has a nice soft luster that looks amazing in any light.

Candy Apple Blue: This blue is one of a kind. It has been used on exotic sports cars, motorcycles, and has an almost metallic property in that it has a nice array of shades based on the angles and curves on the bike when the sun is shining on it.

4 out of 5 Absolutely perfect for the price

Summary: The best eBike you’ll find for the money. You aren’t buying a Rolls Royce, but at this price, it’s beyond what I expected.

    PROS:
-Very, very affordable. I couldn’t find anything else that competes with the specs
    -A beautiful looking bike overall
-Fast. Too fast almost. 48v 750w got me up to 27mph.
    -Very easy to use
-Extremely comfortable. The frame is a cruiser style, so you sit upright, rather than hunched over, which makes it very easy on the back.
-Fun fun fun. I ride it everyday almost now that it’s summer. It’s like being a kid again, but even more fun!

    CONS:
-Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles. Let’s face it- you aren’t buying a Rolls Royce. Doesn’t come with hydraulic brakes or a suspension. The positive is that if something breaks outside the warranty period, it will be cheap to fix
    -I wish they offered fenders

4 out of 5 Happy like a kid again

Ive ridden my Wave 2.0 more than Ive driven since I got it 2 weeks ago, just because I can! I live in Florida, so riding all year round is not only posisble, but it makes commuting and riding a bike fun again. I originally bought the Wave 2.0 to ride around town and mess around, but it has really become a lot more practical than I anticipated. I only live 8 miles from work, so riding to work is so quick and easy. It really takes me about the same time to get door to door compared to driving and parking and if there’s traffic and to be able to ride a bike without getting sweaty is the coolest thing ever.

I dinged a star and gave 4 just because I was hoping for more off-road capabilities, but I guess it’s my fault for not realizing it before I bought it. I do like the cruiser style since it makes it really comfy to ride long distances and makes sense why its not really meant for trail riding. Hopefully they come out with a mountain bike version I would consider getting a 2nd Wave eBike if they had a mountain eBike.

All and all I am very, very happy with my purchase and would definitely tell anyone to seriously consider getting a Wave 2.0 if youre thinking about buying an electric bike.

4 out of 5 Love to ride the wave ...

4.5 would be a better rating. Why? Because 5 is perfect and 4 is “just” good. I think the Wave 2.0 does fit between good and perfect.
For a bike that is not made in the U.S., the quality is more than decent. I would recommend to make sure that whoever assemble the bike to tight everything (including the part already assembled) and tune properly (brakes, seat, derailleur, etc…).
Once ready to ride, be prepared to have a smile on your face once you feel the pedal assist kicking in or when you use the throttle. The power of the motor is quite unexpected at first but greatly appreciated going forward. I think for me so far, it’s been the best surprise. The bike is fast and powerful and makes it a real transportation alternative. I tested a no-pedal ride with full battery and could do 16 miles with about 700 ft elevation gain and I still had one bar left on the battery at the end. The bike clearly deliver on that front.
The pedal assist is nice too but I think it helps you too much. I didn’t feel I was doing much even on the “low” assist mode and on the highest gear. I guess to exercise a bit, it’s better to turn off the bike motor and just go human powered.
Another thing to consider is that this is a cruiser type bike. I am used to lighter weight mountain bike and often jump or climb sidewalk or cut corners, etc… This bike is quite heavy and I think unless you are used to cruiser, it’s probably wiser to stay away from these tricks.
Shipping was quick (I live in Socal though) and everything seemed to be working so far so thanks you guys for delivering this solid product at an affordable price. I know I will use my car less thanks to this bike and hope to inspire others to switch to ebiking for small commute, running errands and have fun being outside.

4 out of 5 Perfect bike, but still want the Lady Wave...

I couldn’t wait any longer for the Lady Wave because I wanted an electric bike before Christmas, so I ordered the Wave 2.0. Shipping was incredibly quick and having someone set it up didn’t take much time either. My biggest complaint is that it’s not a step through frame, so I have to swing my leg over and around the top of the bike to get on, which is why I really want the Lady Wave and the reason I can’t give this product 5/5 stars. Besides the lack of a step through frame, I have no complaints. In fact, it’s more than I bargained for in terms of speed. As someone new to electric bikes, I was expecting something that would help me along when I didn’t want to pedal, which it does…and then some. I could never see myself using the full throttle and going 25+ MPH as it just seems too fast for me, but then again it’s nice to have the power when I need to go uphill.

This is one of the more attractive electric bikes I’ve seen out there, it comes with all the upgraded things I like on a bike like the gears, disc brake, and lights. The lights are especially great at night because there is a front headlight and a red light on the back of the bike, both of which are connected to the bike permanently so I never need to worry about replacing or charging separate batteries since they run off the same battery that the motor does.

Having the Wave 2.0 for about 5 days now I must say it is one of the best gifts I’ve ever gotten for myself and I am really excited about getting the Lady Wave and having 2 Wave electric bikes in my garage.
